Karin Ellis joined CompuPros in 1995 after a successful IT technical, CIO leadership and project management career in the insurance and financial services industry. She is one of the industry’s foremost experts in system development methodologies, project planning and project management. Her expertise also includes IT organization and strategic planning and achieving alignment between IT and business strategies.

Karin's experience in the insurance and financial services industry includes CIO responsibility with emphasis on the reengineering of IT organizations, systems integrations associated with numerous acquisitions and creation of remote insurance business processing centers. Other areas of experience include enhancing productivity through improvements in IT infrastructure practices, implementing new application systems to support business process reengineering, reducing new product-to-market, merger and acquisition timeframes and institutionalizing project management methodology.
Karin has managed multiple acquisition related system integration projects having responsibility for business, IT and quality assurance aspects. Assignments included integration of all insurance and financial systems for a $2.8 billion acquisition. She also managed the CompuPros Y2k practice in which she established a productivity center and the team that converted over 86 million lines of code to Y2k compliant status for more than 10 companies in the insurance and financial services industry.
As President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Karin is responsible
for all CompuPros operations. Previous roles at CompuPros
have included account executive responsibility, management
of the Dallas office, management of corporate financial and
administration functions, management of CompuPros' satellite
offices and management of several of CompuPros largest consulting
engagements. As a senior CompuPros consultant, her focus is
on delivering quality results aligned with client business
goals on time and within budget, team building, project management
and leadership, and transferring strong project management
and leadership capability to our client companies. Karin continues
to lead consulting assignments and also functions as an advisor
to both the information technology consulting and contract
resource segments of the business. |
